1. What this service is
CutRoster ("we", "the platform") lets content creators ("Creators") post short-form video editing job listings, and lets video editors ("Applicants") apply to them. Applications are scored using AI (OpenAI's gpt-4o-mini) based on rate, software, platform, and experience data provided by the Applicant.
2. Payments & Refund Policy
Job postings cost a one-time fee of $29 USD, processed securely by Stripe. Because a job listing goes live and becomes visible/searchable immediately upon payment, all sales are final and non-refundable, except in cases of a duplicate or erroneous charge, which we will review on a case-by-case basis. To request a review, contact us at support@cutroster.com.
CutRoster is the seller of record for all job postings. Payment disputes and chargebacks are processed through Stripe, but any questions about a charge should be sent to us first at support@cutroster.com so we can resolve it directly.
3. What data we collect
From Creators: name, email, and job listing details (title, description, budget, requirements).
From Applicants: name, email, rate, software/platform experience, portfolio link, and pitch text submitted when applying.
We use this data solely to operate the matching service — showing Applicant data to the Creator of the job they applied to, and using AI to generate a match summary. We do not sell this data to third parties.
4. Third-party services we use
- Supabase — database and backend hosting
- OpenAI — AI evaluation of applicant pitches
- Stripe — payment processing
- Cloudflare Turnstile — spam/bot protection
- Resend — transactional email delivery
5. Account access
Creator dashboards are accessed via a private link containing a unique token — there is no traditional login system. Keep this link private; anyone with the link can view your applicants' data.
6. Disclaimer
AI-generated match scores and summaries are provided as a decision-support tool only and may contain errors. Creators are responsible for their own hiring decisions and for verifying applicant claims.
