1. Who we are
CutRoster ("we") is a job board where content creators post video editing jobs and video editors apply to them. Questions about your data: support@cutroster.com.
2. What we collect and why
Creators who post a job: name, email, and the job details (title, description, budget, requirements). We use them to publish the job, rank applicants and send you your private dashboard link.
People who apply: name, email, rate, software, platform and experience details, portfolio link, and the message they write. A creator sees an applicant's rate, experience and message right away, and sees the name, email and portfolio link when they ask for the contact details of that applicant.
Editors with a profile: name, email, headline, bio, software and platform experience, preferred format, rates, portfolio link and settings. Profiles are private by default. If you choose to make your profile public, your name, headline, bio, software and platform experience, preferred format and portfolio link can be seen by anyone with the link and in our editors directory. Rates are shown only if you also choose that. Your email is never shown on a public profile. Public profiles are not meant to appear in search engines.
Emails we send: links to access your profile or applications, a confirmation request if you ask to hear about jobs, and, only if you said yes, emails about new jobs that fit your profile. We may also tell an editor that a creator opened their contact details. Every job email has a one-click link to stop them, and you can also turn them off in your profile.
Matching: we compare job requirements with editor profiles and applications to rank applicants and to decide which editors who opted in should hear about a job. We limit how many job emails one editor gets per week.
3. Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, rough location, device type). It sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address, which Google uses to estimate location. We do not send your email address or your private access links to Google Analytics: those parts of the address are removed before anything is sent. We also count visits to public profile pages and a few site actions anonymously, without personal identifiers.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or use Google's opt-out add-on. The site keeps working.
4. Who else handles your data
- Supabase — database and backend hosting
- Netlify — hosts the website
- OpenAI — AI evaluation of application details (rate, experience, message)
- Resend — sends our emails
- Cloudflare Turnstile — spam and bot protection
- Google Analytics — site analytics, as described above
These providers may process data in the United States and other countries. We do not sell your data.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your profile and applications until you ask us to delete them. Jobs stay open for 30 days. Deleting your data is described below.
6. Your choices and rights
You can update your profile, switch it back to private, or turn off job emails at any time from your profile page (use the link in any of our emails). You can ask to see, correct or delete the data we hold about you. To delete it, see Delete my data. We answer requests within 30 days.
7. Security
Creator dashboards and editor profiles are opened with private links, not passwords. Anyone with your link can see that page, so keep it private. We limit who can read the database and keep sensitive details out of web addresses we share with third parties. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
8. Children
CutRoster is for people 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top.
